I agree with this: a call for homeschoolers to unite...and collect public school horror stories...

and I have a question about some blogs I've read lately (not Arby's blog in the above link). Why do some bloggers put music on their blogs? I tend to read blogs while watching tv (and the music doesn't blend well with Bones or American Idol or my favorite Britcoms) or while the kids are napping (and obviously I want it quiet during that time -- but I forget to turn off the sound til coming across one of these blogs). So why the music on the blogs?

Adding music to blogs is as personal a choice as picking a template, choosing a color, and writing content. I toyed with adding music to my blog, but chose not to as I do find it annoying when I log on to a blog and get blasted with tunes. More often than not I will leave a blog if music starts playing. The benefit of listening to a blogger's music is that it allows the reader to learn a little more about the blogger's tastes, as well as being a way to learn about new singers and songs. If I added music it would be Iz's rendition of "Over the Rainbow."
Yes, I often leave the musical blogs too.
If I wanted to express my personality in this way, I couldn't possibly choose one song to do so; my musical tastes range from country to baroque to celtic to early 90s Petra.
Like Arby, I also toyed with music on my blog, but have chosen not to do it for the same reasons. I'm often listening to my own music when I visit blogs and its a rare day that the two are compatible! :)
